How to convert HEIC to JPG on a Mac

Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPG on a Mac — one at a time or hundreds at once, without uploading them anywhere.

Built in: right-click the photos in Finder → Quick Actions → Convert Image → JPEG. Or open one in Preview → File → Export → JPEG.

With Garlic

  1. Start dragging the photos (any number) from Finder.
  2. Hold ⇧ Shift — the garlic appears under the pointer.
  3. Drop on JPG. The JPGs appear beside the originals; the HEICs are untouched.

Photos keep their date and camera details unless you choose Clean, which removes them along with the location.
